UX/Product Designer

We’re looking for a forward-thinking Product Designer, that elusive UX/UI Unicorn who’ll help us design an incredible, loveable and importantly: an accessible experience.

A bit about you

You’re a visionary, caring and know how to lead others using design-led thinking. You’ll have a passion and openness for creativity and appreciate diversity. Your problem-solving ability is second to none—your design-tool shortcuts were stored in your muscle memory long ago. You’ll connect your design to people’s hearts and minds, your level of practical thinking, usability and detail will inspire us.

What you’ll do:

Day to day, you’ll be working closely with our whole team—we sit physically close. However, pretty much the product manager, chief designer and development team will be your go-to. We’re double-diamond problem-solving, questioning, testing, designing... engaging in effective communication, laughing.

We believe:

Although money’s a part of everyone’s lives, most people have a negative relationship with money—we’ll challenge this by creating loveable experiences.

Good ideas can come from everywhere in the business—it’s not to dictate, but facilitate.

Workplace culture is more than just having a ping-pong table—you’ll acknowledge that we’re a startup. We’re looking for someone with a great attitude who can grow with us. P.S. we don’t have a ping-pong table… yet. PS. Do you like Frisbee? (That’s not a criteria).

Essential skills (all strong):

5+ years design experience in UX, UI and product design
• Creativity
• Communication

Nice to have: Any coding, animation, video, 3D and any print-based skills will be helpful. (We’re a startup juggling multiple roles, it all helps!).

You'll be based in Wellington, NZ.
